Post Amputation Process
| 1 | Amputation |
| 2 | Rigid dressing - volume control, prevention of Flexion Contracture, begin training sock regulation |
| 3 | Ace wrapping or light duty shrinker (staples still intact usually 2 to 3 weeks) Compressigrip |
| 4 | Suture removal and addition of heavier compression shrinker (1 to 2 weeks) |
| 5 | Cast residual limb for preparatory prosthesis (Use of prep. prosthesis 3 to 6 months) |
| 6 | Re-cast residual limb for socket replacement or first Definitive prosthesis |
